Billingham Juniors Football Club offers opportunities for players of all ages to play football in all it's formats. A family friendly club. we're not about winning at all costs but more about developing children's abilities and character. Fun is the key element. The club acknowledges its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of every child and young person who has been entrusted to its care and is committed to working to provide a safe environment for all members. A child or young person is anyone under the age of 18 engaged in any club football activity. Raising Concerns & Whistle Blowing
Welfare officers
Our Club has 4 Welfare Officers, each team is assigned their own, however you can contact any officer at any time (details above), if you have any concerns regarding any member of Billingham Juniors please contact your teams assigned welfare officer
Every concern reported will be dealt in accordance with The Football Association’s (The FA) Safeguarding Children – Policy and Procedures and if necessary advice will be sought from Durham County FA who we are affiliated to. If you believe your concern has not been dealt with in an appropriate way you can also contact Durham County FA Designated Safeguarding Officer Neil Churcher. Neil can be contacted on 0191 3872928 (Option 1, then Option 1) or alternatively, Email: Safeguarding@DurhamFA.com
FA Whistle-Blowing
Whistle-blowing can be used as an early warning system or when it’s recognised that appropriate actions have not been taken. It is about revealing and raising concerns over misconduct or malpractice within an organisation or within an independent structure associated with it. Any adult or young person with concerns about a colleague can also use whistle-blowing by calling 0800 169 1863 and asking for The FA’s safeguarding team, or via email on safeguarding@TheFA.com
